DISTRAUGHT already have a new official drummer. After having the support of two of the best Brazilian drummers on their new album, Mauricio Weimar and Eduardo Baldo, the group now announces the new fix member: Marcelo Azevedo.

Marcelo Azevedo began studying drums at age 14 (he is 24 now) and had the opportunity to have played with bands and artists from various musical genres. The taste for the metal has emerged in childhood, when watching his uncle, brother and cousin rehearse in the garage classics of Metallica, Megadeth, Tastament, Motorhead, Iron Maiden.

Marcelo took lessons with teachers: Marlus Nunes, Carlos Contreras, Samir Hatem, Maurício Weimar and Luke Faro and has played in bands like Rhuina, The Jokke and Liberty.

Today, in addition to DISTRAUGHT, Marcelo keeps his work as a freelance musician. Check out a video of drummer playing one song of the new album, ‘Locked Forever’:

Recalling that the band has just released a video for the song ‘Shortcut To Escape’. Once again the band worked with producer Prata Films ( and had the “disturbing” performance of actor Laurence West.
