Formed in 1996, influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Danzig and Bathory, and in order to convey the deepest feelings and emotions of mankind, the Funeral Doom Metal band HellLight has been developing and reaching an ever larger number of people in the world.
With obscure music, slow, heavy and dense, the band has released three albums, the first "In Memory of the Old Spirits" in 2004, the second, "Funeral Doom" in 2008 and the third, "...and then, the light of consciousness became hell..." in 2011.
HellLight means the way in which people of monotheistic religions see the spiritual development and scientific knowledge of ancient pagan religions. This is the topic tackled by the band in its lyrics and concepts.
Currently the band has Fabio De Paula (guitar/ vocals), Alexandre Vida (bass) and Roberto (drums) as permanent members and Cassia Franchi (keyboards) as guest musician.
In 2010, HellLight made some overtures to international bands such as: Tarot, Therion and Delain.
In 2008 the band signed with German label Ancient Dreams, which released in Europe the second album "Funeral Doom". Currently the band is signed to the Russian record label Solitude Productions, which released in January 2011 the third album "... and then, the light of consciousness became hell..." and also is in the process of promotion in Europe. |
